Residual Useful Life for Second-Life PV Modules
Defining Residual Useful Life for pre-loved PV modules
The project develops software for automatically interpreting measurements on decommissioned solar PV modules, in order to determine a Residual Useful Life for the module. We will seek to establish a robust framework for determining this new parameter, based on measurement data and a deep understanding of the impacts of various imperfections on service life. CSIRO will seek to incorporate the software into the equipment it is presently commercialisingĀ for field-based PV module testing.
Funding
This project receives $325k ACAP funding with a total project volume of $460k.
CI Dr Marco Ernst leads the development of automated scalable assessment of PVĀ module current-voltage (I-V) curves.
